Unique High Quality Turned Items

All of the items displayed here are hand made by a local craftsman and are unique to the Timeball Tower Museum Shop - you will not find them for sale elsewhere.

They are all high quality items made from local hardwoods and exotic timbers including, but not limited to:- beech, cherry, elm, bubinga, oak, maple, padauk, sycamore, pear, walnut, false acacia, spalted beech, purpleheart, snakewood, and zebrano.

Many other timbers are available - we will try to accommodate any reasonable request, with a little notice. Some items can also be made from high quality specialised acrylics. They come with either 22 carat gold-plated or pewter metal fittings.  We are able to accept commission work at reasonable rates well below normal shop prices, which can be discussed and agreed in advance.

Please note that these are only examples of the sort of items that have been made with an indication of the price we charge for similar items.  It is not intended to represent items that we specifically have available at this precise time.  Items immediately available for sale can be viewed directly in the Museum shop, or contact us for more details.

Prices shown are a guide and will vary depending on the cost of the particular timber or acrylic chosen, generally speaking, the more exotic and scarce the wood, the more expensive.

People wishing to buy items by mail order should note that unfortunately we are unable to deal with credit/debit card payments - this would increase our overheads, and our prices would have to be increased.

Prices shown do not include post & packing which will have to be charged extra at the time of sale (we were unable to find a carrier who would deliver for free, and didn't think it was fair to generally increase the price of everything in the shop in order to offer "free delivery").  Please contact us to get an estimate.

We do not recommend people send cash (for hopefully obvious reasons), but cheques or postal orders are very welcome.  Cheques should be made payable to The Deal Museum Trust.
