Welcome to the Timeball Tower website. The tower is located on the seafront in Deal. This website
will give you an insight into the Tower, what it is and information on exhibits and opening times.

The Deal Timeball Tower Museum is owned by Dover District Council, but is leased to, and operated by the
Deal Museum Trust. It is manned solely by volunteers who gladly give of their time freely - we are indebted to them
all.
The Trust were grateful for a DDC/KCC local community grant in 2011 to support repairs to exhibits.

We are open weekends from Easter until the end of September, and wed-fri
from June onwards, so this is currently our closed season. However
we are very willing to open for group appointments throughout the year.
The museum contains exhibits related to signalling and precision electrical timekeeping.
Items on display include working examples of master clocks by
Synchronome, Gents, English Clock Systems, ITR, Magneta, and Brillie.
We also have a rare Shepherd Clock on display.
